Coastwatch Scotland was founded in 2005 and is an independent, non-governmental, voluntary, coa stal monitoring and safety organisation. There are currently five independent units operating in Scotland. Forth/St Monans, Irvine (Ayrshire) Broughty Ferry, Forth/Bo'Ness, and Berwick-on-Tweed.. St Monans Unit was formed in October 2013 and are based at the St. Monans Windmill Coastguard Lookout, situated on the Brea's, near the old Swimming pool on the Coastal Path. We are volunteer watckeepers who monitor the Firth of Forth from Anstruther and Elie Ness. The Station Manager is John Kinsman a former Aux-Coastguard with 8 years expereince, Deputy Station Manager is Anne Kinsman, and Volunteer watchkeepes are Kevin McBain, Elaine Young, Charlie Burton, Michael Hill.
